I went to Goldwing Autocare to purchase Thule hullavators for my kayaks. Not only was the price competitive and it included installation, the customer service was outstanding. Anthony Maiorino was awesome. He told me what I needed that would work with my sidebars, and what I would need in a new vehicle down the road to be able to transfer my Thule system to a new car. He taught me how to use it, and recruited Jake to help troubleshoot a minor issue with one of the hullavators. They both made sure I could use the lifts before I left the facility.
A few days later when I discovered I needed the original boxes to register my products, they dug through the recycle bin to find them for me. Unlike the Thule bike racks, the registration label is not on the part, but rather the box for some reason.
They have a really nice, clean lounge with comfortable chairs, a TV, a clean washroom, and a tea, hot chocolate and coffee bar. There is also a beautiful walking trail across the street to explore while you wait for your vehicle.
I have since recommended Goldwing Autocare to friends looking for Thule products. Based on my experience, I would equally recommend them for the other services they provide.

Will a Thule rack damage my vehicle?
No. When installed properly a Thule rack will not damage your vehicle. They’re designed to protect. Each system uses custom fit kits with rubber clamps and pads to attach securely without scratching paint or denting your roof. Unlike cheaper options, Thule products work to distribute weight evenly, while meeting strict safety standards. When installed correctly by a professional, your rack will preserve your vehicle’s finish while providing a rock-solid base for your gear.
Can I transfer my Thule rack to a new vehicle?
Yes! Most systems are modular, which means you can reuse your existing crossbars and towers if you’re upgrading to a new vehicle. Typically, all you’ll need is a new fit kit fitted for your new car. If you’re planning to switch vehicles, we can help you determine which components can be reused and what needs to be replaced.
Do Thule products ever go on sale?
The demand for Thule products is very high, unfortunately they don’t go on sale. Typically, sales or discounts are reserved for discontinued products or in-store demos that can not be sold as new. To inquire about a discontinued or demo model, please call our showroom at 613-727-7000.
Can I purchase Thule products at Goldwing if I live in Quebec?
Yes. In fact, many of our customers and friends reside in Quebec. Given our close proximity to the Hull/Gatineau area we often install roof racks, bike racks and cargo boxes for customers living in Quebec.
I already have a Thule bike rack or cargo box, do you carry replacement parts?
We understand that things can get damaged or lost, and are happy to inform you that replacement parts are available to order for all current Thule products. Some items may be discontinued. Have your product number or model ready and give us a call for pricing and delivery times.
Are Thule products sold at Canadian Tire and Costco?
Thule products are sold through many retail locations like Canadian Tire and Costco, however they do not install. Purchasing from one of these retail locations means you are responsible for the installation yourself, furthermore it’s up to you to determine which model fits your specific vehicle. At Goldwing we have over 30 years experience behind a dedicated team to install your Thule gear, backed by our service warranty.
