Katzkin leather interiors are treated with a protective finish, making them low-maintenance, however proper care is essential for longevity and warranty compliance. For everyday cleaning, use a damp microfibre cloth and lukewarm water to gently wipe surfaces. If you spill something in your car, immediately blot the spill with a dry, absorbent towel. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric friendly solution of soap and water, applied softly with a sponge. No hard or excessive scrubbing! Rinse, then let air dry naturally. Do not attempt to dry your Katzkin leather with hair dryers or blowers, as they will cause damage to the leather’s protective coating.
Do not use equestrian saddle soaps, alcohol-based cleaners, bleach or bleach based cleaners, ammonia or ammonia based cleaners, oils, solvents, or any abrasive products, as they will degrade the finish and void your warranty.
The protective finish on Katzkin leather should not require often conditioning, however you can occasionally apply your preferred coated leather conditioner. Apply sparingly (in small amounts), to preserve lustre and prevent aged cracking, especially in side bolsters or other heavy use areas.
